- Sunday - Les - Algarve - 51 kms - 300 m
- Monday - me - Adelaide - 20 kms - 20m
- Monday - 6 - Torphins - 29 kms - 315 m
- Tuesday - me - Adelaide - 22 kms - 59 m
I think Les' cycle on Sunday was the longest any of us have recorded on Strava - I bet he's still recovering!
Ian Sharp provided the following report from this year's 13th official Freewheelers' outing:
"Forecast was wind and rain - but we managed to get round dry by cloud dodging on the Platform 22 Route this afternoon .
A few regulars Ian Sh / Scott / John P / Rob were joined by irregular Ken Black and the even more irregular Jack .
Ken Page was spotted " on way to the gym " - can you imagine such an athlete requiring the gym !!!!!!!
A good ride was had - and topped off with usual fine dining at an unusually quiet Platform 22.
Despite a few groans IS suggested adding in the Torphins Golf Club loop on way to our usual back road to Campfield .
Dark skies prevented us enjoying our usual nice views.
The warm south winds blew us around a bit - though there were some claims of being " too hot " - on Deeside in January . Wait til the USA storms hit us this week !!
The peloton scattered a wee bit as we neared home - but a good ride .
Are we Ready for Thursday 10 am ??
Rob put in his apologies - he is going back to school !!"

My gentle, flat, warm rides down here are quite a contrast to what we're used to back home - the adjustment is going to come as a shock to me - but I've got another 5 weeks before I have to worry about that.
I know you all love to see photos of me out on the bike in the sun, so here goes:
Monday - this lamp was from Waterloo Bridge and was a gift to Adelaide in 1936 |
Tuesday - the backdrop is West Lakes GC |
