On Monday afternoon, Messrs Sharp and Tyrie opted to go hill-walking and Ken Black went ski-ing, so only two showed up for the usual Freewheelers ride. Iain W supplied the match report:
"Despite a mass (snow-related?) wimp-out, two proper men (Jeff and Iain) enjoyed a fine afternoon's biking (+2C, sunny and calm). heading east along the Deeside Way to Crathes, then up the Slug (Gaelic for “slot” in the hill) Road before peeling-off west, past numerous stone circles and Knockburn Loch. The riders then divided with Jeff heading to Strachan (for tea and scones) and Iain cruising to Banchory (via the bridges of Cammie and Feugh), for tea and scones."

Jeff supplied the route map and stats:
This morning was the first official practice day for the Ladies Australian Open Golf, being held at Grange Golf Club, just a short cycle from our daughter's house here in Adelaide - so that's exactly what I did:
There are now 20 rides so far this year on the "official" database and 23 on the "others" list, with both lists each totalling just over 600 kms to date. Not surprisingly, the Deeside rides involve much more climbing - over 5,500 metres so far, whilst the others list is just over 3,000 metres.
