Monday update

Since the last blog post, several Freewheelers have been out on solo rides:

• Friday - John M - Finzean - 42 kms - 661 m
• Saturday
• Me - Marchbank - 17 kms - 182 m
• Malcolm L - Drumshalloch - 31 kms - 224 m
• Sunday - Me - Drumshalloch - 23 kms - 132 m
• Monday - Mike (avec femme) - Cullerlie - 37 kms - 240 m

Today, a few of us were playing in the first Seniors golf match of the season, so numbers for the usual Monday afternoon ride were limited. Dick reports as follows:

"Four hardy souls namely Chris Ian Jack and myself met at the Guide Hut on a dreich Monday afternoon.  After a short discussion we decided to take the  Inchmarlo route to platform 22. The outward ride wasn't too bad as the weather was coming from the East.  At platform 22 the discussion turned to geocaching  On looking on the iPhone there appeared a proliferation of caches in the area. However we decided in view of the weather we would leave this until another day. The return ride was not so pleasant as we were biking in to the rain. It was a case of head down and home for a hot bath Dick"

Distance covered was 28 kms with 297 m of climbing.
