Wednesday Weather Window

John Meaden reported on this week's Wednesday ride:

"The weather for this Thursday is looking marginal so I proposed a Wednesday ride and the impromptu gathering amounted to a surprising total of 11 Freewheelers- Scott , Drew , Ken P , Pete , Les , Ian D , Iain W , Johns L , P , Mo and myself .

We agreed on the direct route to Finzean via Mill of Cammie with options for  the return route . All of the ice has cleared and it was pleasant enough although a bit murky and around 4 degrees.

John Mo had phoned ahead so we were easily accommodated at the Farm shop for the usual excellent coffee and scones . Team photos are fragmented to to the absence today of professional photographers .

Only Pete took the easy route home although he did leave with a very large bag of scones so he may have detoured via Braemar . The rest of us considered the Shooting Greens route back - apparantly the main Deeside Way track back to Scolty car park is just about the only one not badly cut up . In the end we went over the Monument hill , right at the phone box to Potarch then up Tillydrine to Craiglash and home .

39.3 km and 368m."

John also supplied the photos - with one from John Morton too:

Meanwhile, here in Semaphore, Adelaide, I tried out a new method of transport:
