Myrebird

Robins' report from this week's ride:

"Here are photos from Wednesday when we had some great views across the Dee Valley to Mount Battock, Cloch na Ben and Kerloch. We did not complete the full Myrebird circuit as we decided to slope off down the Crathes Castle back drive and take coffee in the restaurant there. That means Colin can join us for the full circuit (including the long downhill section! ) some time in the future.

However the big news for next week is that we are changing to a Thursday ride. We will meet at Guide Hut at 9.45 am and put bikes on car bike racks.

Then we drive to Kincardine o' Neill and cycle back along the Deeside Way to Potarch, over the bridge , then along and up Deeside Way to half way up hill when we turn off into Slewdrum Forest and a magical mystery tour to join up with the Blackhall Forest and the track along the river and along Blackhall returning to Tease for coffee around 11.45am.If we want to extend the time a little we can stop at the fishing hut picnic tables above the river Dee and this could be a good place for a snack for any who are tired by this point, tho in my timing I have allowed for walking any up hill sections.

I will bring my car bike rack with room for 4 bikes and Scott will have his bike rack for 2 bikes. If we have more than 6 wishing to join us then we will need another bike rack volunteer or someone with car big enough to carry their bike.John McWhinnie has kindly agreed to give car drivers a lift back up to Ko'C to collect cars at end of morning.
