Crathes - Brathens - Inchmarlo

It was another week of two split groups - on Wednesday, Ian, the two Malcolms and Scott headed south round the familiar route that goes past Knockburn Loch, and, on Thursday, Colin, Les, Ken P and I met earlier than usual - at my request - and did the Crathes loop - with a twist. We would have been joined by Rob, but he had an unfortunate accident yesterday and is out of action for a week at least.

Having given Ken a hard time last week when he donned what looked for all the world like a giant condom, Les himself showed up this morning wearing a similar garment:

We rode out to Crathes, headed up the hill there and enjoyed the long downhiller to the West Gate, before heading out past Burn o' Bennie, this time bypassing the brewery road and heading further north before meeting Raemoir Road and across towards Brathens. Halfway along, we turned in to the forest roads and headed towards Inchmarlo for our tea/coffee and scones:

Not a long run, by any means - just 9.3 miles - and not hugely strenuous either, but an enjoyable jaunt. Here's the full stats and the route:
