Dee and Rogue Valley reports

Dick's report from Thursday's Dee Valley run:

"Les Ken Rob Robin and Dick met 9am at Guide Lodge. Rob suggested a route to Cullerlie Stone Circle via Raemoir. On setting off Rob had an off road experience coming to a standstill in the mud avoiding a drunk with a can of beer in his hand. Coffee and Scones stop at Floras Cullerlie. Scones and service not quite up to the high standard expected by the Freewheelers. Ken requested a low fat latte to be greeted by WHAT. From Floras it was off to the Stone Circle (photo attached). From there down to Deeside Way at Drumoak and then back to Banchory. All told an interesting and exciting ride

and here's the photos:

Yes, I know the second one is upside down - blame the cameraman - no amount of tinkering with the original photo seems to be acceptable to Blogspot. Note to would-be photographers - please ensure you hold the camera the right way up in future (got that, Ken?).

Dick and Les also did a Tuesday ride round Crathes, details of which are on Strata at http://www.strava.com/activities/179170037. Again no word from the Wednesday group.

It's our last week here in Southern Oregon and temperatures have temporarily cooled a bit - in fact, for the first time since we arrived, temperatures are only peaking in the 80's yesterday and today. This allowed me to do a short afternoon cycle yesterday to have a look at the Cathedral Hills trails:

I hope to be available for a shortish run in Deeside next Thursday - jet-lag permitting.
