Thursday - Crathes-Knappach loop

Back to the regular Thursday morning routine, 5 of us showed up this morning. We were expecting Ken P to join us, but it was damp underfoot and had been raining, so we assumed he had been put off by the prospect of getting wet. As it turned out, it was almost ideal for cycling - hardly any wind, mild - and it didn't rain at all when we were out.

There was no route planned, but Robin is always full of ideas and he suggested we head up the West Gate at Crathes, out the north side and then travel east, before heading back along the Way and up the Slug Road towards Knappach. The latter part we agreed was pretty much a red card offence, but we all made it to the top of the hill for the team photo:

Further on, we came across an appropriate sign:

Tea/coffee and scones were had at the Bridge of Feugh. Their prices have gone up - £5.15/£5.30 - and only one small cup of coffee - no refills. USA it ain't, so no tips.
