The plan had been to have coffee at Milton of Crathes, so we bypassed the cheaper pitstop at Drum and headed back along the Deeside Way, where Dick and John took off like men possessed. We eventually met up with them at Milton, where, in an echo of the same time last year (check http://bvetscycling.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/crathes-drumoak-loop.html) we posed in front of Rudolph and his sled:
