11 & 12

Last Thursday, Dick supplied the team photo for the semi-away day to Aboyne:

Median team stats attributed - 26/239 - and another new coffee shop on the database.

I'm very grateful to John P who supplied me with the following match report from yesterday's (Monday) trek - well up to your usual standards, John - keep up the good work!:

"Not Drumoak
This was the biggest gathering of Freewheelers ever; far bigger than last weeks numbers - and if anyone says anything else they are lying, they are the worst kind of person. You could see the massed ranks of yellow jackets and bikes stretching into the distance, across the George V Park. We will make Freewheelrs great, as we look at where we ride, we will only consider Freewheelers, other riding groups have been taking from us for too long; it will stop right here, right now!

The regular riders all suggested we should go to Drumoak, as there will be space for the huge number of riders present. We went to Platform 22 via the north bank of the Dee as we had agreed. The report is lying! We can assure you it was agreed we should go to Platform 22.

If anyone is foolish enough to believe in global warming, (which is clearly a scam put about by other cycling groups) they don’t deserve to be one of the Freewheelers. The weather was kind to the Freewheelers today; glorious blue skies and crispy tracks under the wheels. This is what happens when we put Freewheelers first, we get good weather.

The distance covered today, puts other teams to shame - Freewheelers are the best! Despite inaccurate reports on Strava, top speeds and heights climbed were far in excess of anything we have seen before. There is no risk of these athletes hanging-up there shoes any time soon.

Freewheelers Are Great!

Report this time by Trumpton Perry."

Follow that if you can! John also supplied the route map:

The median Strava "lies" were 33/337 and here's the photos, courtesy of Mike:

Standing l-r: Jack Simpson, John Perry, Ken Page, John Morton, John Larkin, Scott Hunter, Mike Reilly & Jeff Dickens.
Kneeling - Aidan Meehan.

No cycling for me - gastro bug - not good, but I did manage to attend the final day of the Tour Down Under on Sunday through Adelaide city centre. Spectacular stuff - what a rush when the huge peloton whizzes by - sometimes just inches from your face:

(The dome in the background is the Adelaide Oval).
