Greetings once more from the Adelaide hothouse and here's the photos from the last 3 Freewheelers' rides, starting with Monday 9th to Drum:
Dick Taylor, Peter Seago, Scott Hunter, Jack Simpson, John Larkin, Ian Sharp & Jeff Dickens |
It was a 35 kms ride with 216 m of climbing.
Last Thursday, it was another group of 7 who headed out Knappach way, as reported by Scott:
"Here
is a photo from today's ride. Despite a horrendous weather forecast it turned
out to be a beautiful morning although very cold. Seven of us headed across the
Dee and up via Tilquhillie to Knappach, along the top then down to Park bridge
and along the riverside to the Milton for coffee and scone/bacon roll then back
to Banchory.
Rob is missing from the photo as he had to skip the
coffee."
Jeff Dickens, Jack Simpson, Ian Sharp, Peter Seago, Scott Hunter & Robin Brodie |
Strava stats were 32/278.
For this Monday's ride (16th), Mike positively bombarded me with photos and short video clips:
Ken Page, Jeff Dickens, Rob Pollard, Jack Simpson, Peter Seago, Ian Sharp, John Perry, Dick Taylor, Chris Low, John Larkin & Mike Reilly |
The videos can be viewed here:

The stats were 40/273.
Good to see so many out cycling, although I'm not sure there would have been so many volunteers here yesterday when the Tour Down Under began in the Barossa just to the north of the city. As if the hills weren't enough for the pro cyclists to face, the temperature was 40 C +. We went along to the pre-race Family Day on Sunday and picked up a couple of freebies:
