2017 rides

The first FW ride of the new calendar year (but ride no. 7 on this year's database) beat the well-worn path to Platform 22, returning via Kincar and Shooting Greens. No match report provided but I have deduced from the photos and Strava that there were 8 on the ride - Messrs Dickens, Larkins, Low, Page, Sharp, Simpson, Taylor and Leslie:

Torphins apparently had a good time at New Year, judging from the number of empties:

Distance covered averaged out at 39 kms with 445 m of climbing and each of the 8 have been credited with this on the database.

Temperatures in South Australia differ a little from back home - we hit 40 C yesterday and so I had to try and get out early this morning (Saturday) but even at 6:30 am it was 32 C already - not easy cycling conditions. I'm sure you're all sympathetic to my plight. This blog always likes to show photos of FW's in sunny climes, so here's the first this year from Port Adelaide:
