Hebrides Day 3

John Meaden was first in with his match report:

"Day 3 started with an unavoidable cold and windy  soaking as we had to make the 1030 am ferry from Berneray to Leverburgh . Only an hour cycle but a bit of a shock to the systems after 2 dry days .

It was dry on Harris and with the strong wind on our backs again we set sail up the west coast route looking across to Taransay and some truly stunning beach landscapes . We took a beach detour and there  was some paddling and a lot of dozing off in the dunes .
The support team joined us for lunch at an excellent craft centre and cafe with an 'infinity' deck where we took a full team photo.
After lunch we left the coast and began a long and fairly stiff climb before descending into Tarbert for dinner and overnight at the Harris Hotel .
Another superb day and again we had dodged the worst of the weather .
55 km and 462m .
Tomorrow is the day of the big climbs from Tarbert to Callanish on Lewis - some debate as to whether it will be 500 or up to 1000m - whatever we are hoping we can do most of it in dry conditions."

No report from Mike but I stole these photos from his Strava:
