I made it 2 days' cycling in a row this morning, setting off on a circular route that followed the Rogue river and looped back down across the Redwood Highway where I again ventured in to the grounds of Rogue Community College and then back towards Lucy's. Total distance about a mile longer than yesterday at 11 miles, although the elapsed time was a little less at 70 minutes. The full Strava stats are http://www.strava.com/activities/172119283
I tried my son-in-law's bike this morning. He had told me that not all the gears were working but I thought I'd give it a try. It transpired that only 2 gears could be used - the smaller 2 on the front cog - which made it a bit tricky on the upward climb about halfway.
Missing my scone stops.
Here I am back at Lucy's after the ride:
Rest day tomorrow, I think. It's well over 100 F today and we're told it will be more of the same.
