Thursday Deeside report

Ian reported:

"Today's start at the traditional Summer start time of 8.30am  from the Guide Hut got off to several false starts due to a rogue email at 8am ( see below ) - the " rogue " has been disciplined !!
Eventually 7 Freewheelers headed off at 9.05am from HOB New Church - Rob,Scott,Dick,Les, Robin,John McW, Ian SH - for a short / easy ride at the request of the " rogue " who had been off on a long holiday - clearly without his alarm clock !!

Up the Hirn road and along the Paintball Road towards Cullerlie - but cutting off via Drum Castle and down for a deserved coffee at Drum Gdn Centre where the scones proved popular.
Several riders were keen to get back to see the Open golf on tv so Robin took us to Drumoak on a path alongside the main road where we then joined the Deeside Way.
At this point the pellaton became somewhat fragmented - with a brief re-form at Crathes - after which all riders dispersed in various directions to make their way home.
I made it circa 22 miles - but perhaps Dick has it on Strava. No photos.
Here endeth an eventful morning."

Dick's Strava stats show 34 kms - https://www.strava.com/activities/347199719

I went out again on Wednesday and completed 30 kms, including some off-road stuff at Cathedral Hills Trails - https://www.strava.com/activities/346697054 - passing by Grants Pass GC on the way:
