Six of us showed up for the Monday afternoon ride yesterday, with Les vociferously pleading for "no more hills" after Thursday's traumatic experience at Glenlivet. A Drum loop was agreed and off we all set, but I only got as far as the graveyard before my back tyre went again - for the second time in a week - and I had to trudge off homewards to effect repairs again.
Three times I had the wheel off, each time trying out different inners, but eventually I had to give up and go to the bike shop and buy a couple of new inner tubes.
The remaining five - Les, Ken P, Jeff, Bob and a rare appearance of John Meaden, carried onwards and, according to Les' Strava stats, completed a loop of 33 kms - https://www.strava.com/activities/365797715. No reports of any other incidents and no photos.
This morning I went out on a short (19 kms) Myrebird loop to test my tyres and I'm pleased to say I made it home intact this time:
