"A fit four met at the Guide hut at 9 am. The party comprised Dick Taylor, Les… and Ken..
It was a a lovely day, sunny and a reprieve from the
rain. Under the leadership of Les and Dick we cycled over the Dee and rode
along the south bank of the Dee. Dick was familiar with the area as he lived
here and his father cultivated a market garden.
We rode past Blackhall and Bogendriep. There was a stage where we had to
ride through some thick bushes!
We reached the Finzean farm at about 10.30 and had scones
and coffee.
Dick provided the team photo:
Les' Strava stats show that they completed the Finzean loop - 36 kms - https://www.strava.com/activities/367973872. Don't know if anyone collected the fivers?
Meanwhile, Ian Sharp, visiting his new grandson in Athens, sent this report:
"Grabbed a couple of hours today with my son Graeme's bike - left the ladies looking after my new grandson !!
Explored around parts of Kifisia - hilly suburb to north
of Athens.
No real cycle paths / country roads so spent 2 hours of
casual cycling / window shopping cycling - and a coffee plus huge croissant
stop !!
