Yesterday's rain had passed and we awoke to a glorious day, stirring a healthy turnout of 8
Freewheelers. Keith was a late cancellation, but it was still the largest attendance for a while.
Ian Sharp had arranged for us to attend a photoshoot at Deeside Dance Studio, when our collection of £620 could be formally handed over to Banchory Sports Village:

Having already cycled eastwards and halfway up the hill, the decision was taken to head towards Culter, via Hirn and Flora's. We didn't quite come out where today's (temporary) routemaster Ian Sh had intended, but we eventually hit the North Deeside Road just short of Easter Anguston, where we had a choice to head further east in to Culter itself or head for the nearest exit that would take us down to the Deeside Way. None of us were very keen on spending any time cycling along the main road, so we quickly opted for the latter as it was only 200 yards to the exit route.
Almost as soon as we felt safe again, we had a quick pit stop and another team photo:
Onwards to the Milton and some excellent scones, then home. My Strava stats show that I covered a total distance of over 41 kms (including my usual warm-up loop round Burnett Park) -
