Monday ride

Archie and I went for another cycle this morning. We headed towards Blackhall on the lower route, through the arch and past the fishing gatehouse, where we got a cheery Good Morning as we passed.

Archie was having problems with his seat which kept sliding back down and we stopped a couple of times to allow him to tighten it:

After a couple of miles, the track eventually connects with the route we've travelled many times before. We stuck as close to the river as possible and went to the end of the circular loop and then headed up the hill towards Shooting Greens.

It's a bit of a climb and I, for one, welcomed the "photo opportunity" near the top:

It was a lovely, still, mild morning - and so peaceful up here.

We climbed a bit more and thought we had reached the top but there are several "false flats", as Archie calls them, and although there were a few short downhill bits, there must have been 8 or 9 short climbs after this. We looped back past the Scolty car park and down back to Tease for coffee etc.

It was a 12 mile run, climbing almost 1,100 feet with a run time of almost an hour and a half. Full stats on Strava as usual - http://www.strava.com/activities/209571303
