Deeside Thursday

A poorly attended affair this week, it seems. Here's Ian's report:

"Not much to report re Thursday morning run from Banchory.

Only 2 cyclists – Les and myself.

Many feeble  excuses  today – skiing abroad / colds / family visiting  etc etc  !!!

Les needed to be back before Noon so we headed off from the Guide Hut around 10am at a good pace .

Headed East and upwards to enjoy the fantastic sunshine though Crathes Castle to Harestone Road ,and onwards on back road / farm track towards Flora’s – but doubling back along road to Hirn.

A slight breeze got up on way back but nothing tough enough to slow down this pair of athletes !!

Les was in such a hurry home he raced down the Hirn road towards Tesco and home – whilst i cut across towards the Cowshed and back home via Burnett Terrace / to Burnett Park.

Les may well have been on a promise or something as he was in such a rush that there was no time for coffee & scones today !!

I had to make do with instant Nescafe and something out of the biscuit tin at home !!!!

Great run though – home by 11.30pm – to an afternoon of superb weather enjoyed by me as i walked the dog around the golf course."
