Torphins and back

On a lovely spring-like Friday afternoon, it was just Archie and I who headed up to Torphins - Scott had originally planned to join us, but had to pull out this morning.

We went the usual Brathens - Glassel route until we got up near the main road where we turned right back towards Banchory for 100 yards or so, then sharp left on a quiet country road that runs almost parallel to the main road, but takes you past some amazing new houses.

Coffee stop was Platform 22 - and very nice it was too. We bumped into Graham Ballantyne (Bannatyne?), ex Police squash team. Team photo outside:
